Sleep Affects Everything Else About You
Countless studies and articles illustrate how sleep affects virtually all aspects of your life, including your health, weight, brain, learning, sex life, memory, and mood. So, it’s important you receive the restful sleep you deserve.
Researchers say the secret to a sound night’s sleep is having the right mattress. While lying on different mattress surfaces can help you discover what feels best for you, you may also find it helpful to explore the unseen differences in mattresses and discuss your own sleeping habits with our Certified Sleep Specialists.
With the right mattress, the “average” adult needs at least 7 – 8 hours of sleep every night, according to the National Sleep Foundation.
However, keep in mind:
- Some adults feel fine with as little as six hours of sleep a night.
- Recent studies show adolescents need 8 ½ to more than 9 hours of sleep each night.
In short, how long you need to sleep depends on your age and other factors.
