Our Cooling Story

Aside from support and comfort, the ability of your mattress to help manage your body temperature while sleeping has become a common attribute when choosing a new bed. Today’s mattresses have a variety of applications, from natural fibers that wick away heat away from to specialty foams that help moderate temperature swings. Whether or not you consider yourself a hot sleeper, your core temperature fluctuates throughout the night during each sleep cycle. For example, in REM sleep, the 5 th phase, your heart beat and breathing accelerate, causing an increase in body temperature. Conversely, our heartbeat and breathing slow in other cycles causing your body to cool down. This is a key reason that you can be cold and hot at different times during the night. For women going through menopause, these phases are amplified.

Sleep Doctor mattresses have a combination of cooling fibers and temperature moderating cushioning materials that help manage the fluctuations in body temperature

With over 650 individually-wrapped tempered coils inside and a generous number of firm and softer layers on top, this mattress is perfect for a side or back sleeper. The support layer limits side-to-side bed motion for reduced partner disturbance from tossing and turning. The unique combination of cushioning materials reduces pressure points on your shoulders and hips when sleeping on your side but yet promotes correct spinal alignment when sleeping on your back.

The Sleep Doctors Take: This mattress is too soft for stomach sleepers. For side and back sleepers it has a super-premium feel and will give a great nights sleep for many years to come. When sitting on the side of this bed, my rear-end sank in a lot, but when laying out on it, it was both supportive and luxuriously contouring. Very comfy! Choose this one over the Plush version for an even softer and more luxurious feel.

Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Mattresses can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new bedding should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.
