How is the Adjustable Base shipped?

Just like our mattresses, the adjustable base comes to you in a box and is delivered to your door by FedEx or an approved shipper.

What type of mattresses can be used on an Adjustable Base?

Mattress types that work well with adjustable bases have foam cores and most innersprings. Memory Foam and Latex Mattresses are ideal for adjustable bases as they are flexible and highly adaptable to the base’s positions and elevations. Some Innerspring mattresses may or may not be as flexible and could be damaged if bent or elevated severely. All mattresses available on www.sleepdoctormattress.com are compatible, except Value Center models.

Will the Adjustable Base work with my existing furniture or headboard?

Absolutely! If you have a headboard and NO footboard, add headboard brackets to your order and you’re all set. If you have a headboard AND footboard, there is usually a set of outer rails that attach at each end and center supports (queen and king) that hold it together. With rare exception, simply remove the center supports (if present), keep the side rails attached, and the unit will fit inside like it was made for it! The adjustable base has its own support legs, so the headboard and footboard are decorative around the outside of the adjustable bed set.

WHAT IS THE WARRANTY ON THE ADJUSTABLE BASE?
10-Year Limited Warranty

Mattresses - Your mattress comes with a 10-year Non-Prorated warranty – What does that mean? Our mattresses have a 10-year Non-Prorated warranty, which means if you have any defects within the first 10 years, it will be replaced at no charge to you as long as no abuse is apparent. Exception: Value Center mattresses have a 5-year Limited Warranty.

Adjustable Bases - Unique to Sleep Doctor, your adjustable base gets a 10-year bumper-to-bumper warranty instead of the 10-year “Pro-rated” warranty common to all adjustable bed manufacturers. What does that mean? A Pro-rated warranty usually covers 100% of parts and labor only in the first year but quickly diminishes as the warranty period goes on. Sleep Doctor covers your adjustable base for “10 Full Years”, covering all parts and labor, including remote controls! That’s a big deal!

How much assembly is required?

The Free Delivery option offers delivery inside the threshold of your home. In this case:
1. Put each box in the room to be set up
2. Remove the adjustable base from the box, screw in the legs
3. Place the base where desired
4. Install the batteries in the remote
5. Plug the base into an electrical outlet, and it’s ready to go!

WHY DO 2-TWIN XLS COME AS THE KING SIZE?

A single King size mattress traditionally had two boxsprings to make moving the bed easier. A mattress is flexible so it easily fits around tight corners and through low stair wells. Boxsprings, however, do not bend so king size comes in 2 pieces. Like a traditional set, king size adjustable bases come in two pieces; if you order a king size mattress set, the bases need to be synced together so they go up and down at the same time.

A dual-king set, where the mattresses and bases are separate, offer the most options and individual comfort. For example, not every couple wants the head and feet up or down at the same time. Additionally,
1. Two bases equal twice the built-in power ports for charging USB devices
2. Two bases allow for each side to have individualized options, such as massage and zero gravity, instead of just single features in the middle
3. Two bases allow for an easier move, whether just around in the room or to a new home
4. Two bases give the option to work independently with two remotes, or easily sync for one remote to be used to position up and down as one large King bed

My remote lights up but the base is not working?

The remote is pre-synced at the factory, but in case it’s not working check these things:
• Make sure all connections are secure
• Check the outlet for power
• The cord from the adjustable base has a power box that lays on the floor – it has a light – make sure it is lit when plugged into the outlet
• In some cases, the “child lock” is activated. Check the manual that came with the base to see how the child lock is activated and de-activated.
• In rare cases, the remote could un-sync from the base. Check the manual for instructions to re-sync the base.

Do I still need a boxspring/foundation?

No, the adjustable base replaces your boxspring.

Do I still need a bed frame?

No bedframe is need since the adjustable base has its own legs for support.

Can I return an Adjustable Base?

No. Unfortunately all sales are final for the Adjustable Base.

Platform/Storage Foundation

Do I need a box spring or foundation?

We highly recommend our matching foundation/box spring for supporting your mattress when you don’t purchase an adjustable base; it’s a small price to make sure you maximize the lifespan of your new mattress.

How do I assemble the Platform/Storage Foundation?

The unit comes folded in a box. Simply unfold it and install a few bolts and you’re ready to go!

Can I return a Foundation / Box Spring?

No. Unfortunately all sales are final for the Platform/Storage foundation.

Is there a warranty?

Yes, the Storage Platform carries a 5-year warranty against any structural or workmanship issues.

Sheet Sets

Are the sheets returnable?

No. Unfortunately all sales are final for sheets sets.

Mattress Protector

Why should I use a mattress protector?

Aside from the mattress, a mattress protector is the best and most economical investment you can make. It protects your mattress from stains which void most manufacturers’ warranties, and is also a guard against dust mites. Even though you may not eat or drink in bed, it’s amazing how life can throw you a curve. Check out your present mattress; does it have any stains?

Will it affect the feel of the mattress?

No, its ultra thin and works beautifully without affecting the feel of the mattress.

Will it make the mattress feel hot?

No. It’s guaranteed to protect the mattress and allow your body to breath. Technology!

Does the protector make noise?

There is a slight “crinkle” sound to the protector if you don’t wash it before use. Wash it when you get it and you’ll be all set!

Is it waterproof?

It is 100% waterproof.

Can I wash it?

Yes. The 5-Year warranty indicates you can wash it as many times as you feel necessary. Always wash in warm water and dry with VERY low heat.

How can I buy a Mattress Protector?

Is it returnable?

Because the protector is considered a personal use item, it cannot be returned.

How do I change or cancel my order?

It depends. Because most orders ship right away, we process orders immediately. However, if you live in Michigan or around a local Sleep Doctor store, just text us at (616)-862-8943 with your change and we will call you to confirm. How do I place an order?

Returns are simple, easy, and hassle free. Here’s how it works:

• Your return request can be processed after your mattress has been in your home for 30 days.
• After Day 30 and BEFORE day 100, if you’re unsatisfied, just call our support team at (844) 349-2923.
• We’ll work with you to make it right or give you a refund.

Returns come with a 100% money-back guarantee with the exception of adjustable bases and Value Center mattresses. Sleep Doctor requires your mattress to be refunded be donated to an approved charity in your local area except areas where Sleep Doctor will pick up your mattress at no-charge.

Please note: If the return request is received after the end of your 100-Night trial, a refund is not available. Only one mattress is returnable per household.

Can I return unopened items?

Yes, unopened, unused mattresses can be returned to us. It will incur a 15% restocking fee upon receipt at our warehouse in perfect condition, deducted from your refund. Foundations will incur a separate fee.

Do I need to rebox the mattress if I return it?

No – You would simply call us within the 100-night sleep trial period and we will direct you to a local charity such as Goodwill or Salvation Army.

IF THE MATTRESS IS RETURNED WITHIN OUR 100-NIGHT SLEEP TRIAL, DO I GET A FULL REFUND?

Yes, as long as you request your return as outlined in the “Returns” section above.

CAN I RETURN MY MATTRESS BEFORE I’VE HAD IT FOR 30 DAYS?

A return is not authorized before 30 days because it often takes 14 to 30 to get accustomed to your new mattress. While most people adapt to a new mattress immediately, sometimes the transition from an old worn-out mattress to a new supportive one takes your body a few days or weeks to become accustomed to the new level of support.

What is White Glove Delivery?

Let us handle the heavy lifting by setting up your new mattress, adjustable base and/or foundation. Once your order is placed, the Sleep Doctor will ship your “White Glove” items to the service delivery team. Please allow 3-5 business days to be contacted about your “White Glove Service” delivery. Once you are contacted, they will schedule a time for delivery/setup and email you a tracking confirmation number.

Your in-home setup includes:
• Professional delivery and friendly service
• Unboxing/setup of your new mattress, adjustable base and/or foundation

What is the Fee for White Glove?
  • • $199 for 1-2 items (e.g. one mattress + one foundation)
  • • $299 for 3+ items (e.g. King mattress + 2 TXL adjustable bases)
  • • Once the order is placed, the white glove service is a final sale.
  • • This cannot be canceled after the sale and no refunds are available in the event of a return under the 100-night guarantee or any order cancellation.
What is included in the White Glove Service

Who will be the service provider?

Sleep Doctor will contract a 3rd party, independent delivery company that is bonded and professional.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Once you place your order, Sleep Doctor will direct your White Glove items to the delivery company. The delivery company will then call you to set your appointment and issue a tracking number.

How do I order White Glove Service?

Can I cancel a White Glove Service once I have purchased this service?

• No, once the order is placed, the white glove service is a final sale.

If I have multiple items on my order, how will they ship?

Your White Glove items (Mattresses, foundation and adjustable bases) will be delivered to you by the outside delivery company. Any other items like pillows, sheets, Protectors will be sent to you via FedEx to your shipping address on file and usually arrive before the White Glove delivery.

Where is the White Glove Service Available?

Do you offer a Sleep Trial?

Yes. Sleep Doctor offers a 100-Night Sleep Trial. If you don’t get the comfort you need, we’ll take it back and issue you a 100% refund. There is no cost to you whatsoever if you choose to return the Mattress. All we ask is that you give your new mattress 30 nights. Most customers love their new mattress the first night. Others, it may take a few days or a few weeks for their bodies to adapt to a new “supportive” sleep surface. The Adjustable base or Foundation is not refundable. How long does it take to receive my new mattress?

Our products are shipped within a few days after your order is complete. Depending on where you’re located in the country your order will usually arrive at your door within 5-7 business days FREE via FedEx. Since we ship from different locations, your products may arrive separately.

What does free shipping include?

Can I delay shipment of my Sleep Doctor order?

To make your life easier, you can arrange for your package to be held at a Fedex location or request a vacation hold at no extra cost to you. How do I know if my order has shipped?

How are mattresses delivered?

All mattresses are shipped compressed and vacuum-packed and delivered by FedEx. This means that your mattress will arrive in a much smaller box than you’re probably expecting. Don’t be alarmed! Our cutting-edge technology allows us to safely compress the bed for shipping. As soon as you unpack your mattress, it will decompress to its normal size. Please make sure you open it in the room where you’ll use it. And watch it open – you’ll like what you see!

Will the driver move or remove my old mattress?

No, delivery is only to your front door. The carrier is only responsible for bringing your purchase that far. You’ll need to personally bring it inside and set it up. At his discretion, the driver may even leave your items at your door if you are not home, so plan to be home for your delivery if possible. As for your old mattress, we suggest calling your favorite local charity to pick it up and take it away.

How long can I keep my mattress packaged in the box?

After delivery, you can keep the mattress in the box for up to 6 months. It is recommended that you open your mattress before then to ensure a better result when expanding it to its proper shape and size.

What if I need to change my address?

Because we ship within a few days, we process orders immediately and are unable to make any address changes after the order has been submitted.
