What about the Warranty

The Doctor's Word on Warranty

Investing in a mattress set can be one of the most important purchases you make through out your lifetime, besides investing in a new home or car. Most premium products out there these days come with some kind of "guaranteed warranty" on them, only to give the customer a peace of mind. Warranties, however, may be the most misunderstood part of mattress shopping and offer very little help in judging a mattresses quality.

Most manufacturers in this industry offer a 10-year warranty on their premium models, these models typically are constructed with a traditional coil. Other mattress warranties range from 15 years to a lifetime, but that doesn't mean the mattress will last that long! The Better Sleep Council states that the warranty is there to protect the customer from product defects, not against the gradual loss of comfort and support.

Every mattress purchased from the Sleep Doctor comes with a non-prorated warranty. A non-prorated warranty covers 100% of the labor and material costs to repair or replace a defective mattress or foundation. This warranty type is much better than a pro-rated or limited warranty because from the very first night that you rest your body on the mattress, it already loses a fraction of its' value.

Remember, over time, mattresses will wear out from sleeping on them or your comfort preference may change. This is not a warranty defect. So when you are searching for that new sleep system, focus on finding a mattress with the best support and most comfortable padding at a price point you can afford, not on the length of the manufacturer's warranty.

Sleep Doctor's 15/20 Year Limited Warranty (Mfgr. Code D.)

Because we strongly believe in the quality design and craftsmanship of our products. Sleep Doctor sleep systems are warranted against manufacturing defects in workmanship and material (excluding covers). If you observe a defect, contact the Sleep Doctor or call 866-7SLEEP1, and we will be happy to answer any questions you might have and correct the problem in the event that one does exist. You must, within the duration of the warranty, provide proof of purchase (including date) and be the original purchasing consumer. Your Sleep Doctor mattress and/or foundation will be repaired or replaced (at our option). All other claims including incidental or consequential damages are precluded. If identical materials are not available at the time of repair or replacement, we reserve the right to substitute materials of equal quality. Sleep Doctor reserves the right to refuse service and invalidate the warranty when, upon inspection, the sleep system is found to be in an unsanitary condition, or when the product failure is determined to be caused by factors other than defective workmanship or materials.

Not all implied warranties on this product shall exceed in duration the term of this limited warranty. This warranty begins the day you purchase your sleep system. If your sleep system is repaired or replaced, this limited warranty will not be renewed or extended. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or a limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply.

This warranty is given by the Sleep Doctor retailer whose name and address appear on your order form and is intended to be an extension of the warranty issued by the manufacturer.
